Yearly exam: Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets, we stress the importance of an annual physical examination. Thorough check-ups and preventative care can help alleviate serious health problems. Our hospital will send you a reminder card in the mail when the time for your pet's physical is approaching. At the yearly exam your pet will be thoroughly examined by one of our doctors and brought up to date on all vaccinations, as well as treated for any other minor issues that may have come up over the course of the year.

Diagnostic Services:  Our hospital is equipped to process many different diagnostic tests, including fecal evaluations, serum chemistry, hematology, serology, parasite testing, urinalysis, cytology, blood testing for diseases such as heartworm and feline leukemia, and complete blood count. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations. With our state-of-the-art x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, and pulse oximetry equipment, we can more quickly and accurately diagnose your pet's specific problem.

Surgical Services:  Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures for small animals, including routine spays and neuters, orthopedic, exploratory, and emergency surgery when needed. We also provide excellent post-operative care and instructions and are always available, should you have questions about your pet's recovery or post-op care.

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics to provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.

Internal medicine consults: We offer in-hospital referrals to an internal medicine specialist who performs ultrasounds, endoscopic procedures and helps us with the diagnosis of more complicated cases.

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.

Permanent identification: We offer microchip identification, as well as many different styles of name tags and collars for your pet.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, prescription shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary and Behavioral Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. We have several prescription diets that encourage weight gain or loss, and keep these foods stocked regularly in our pet food department. We can also provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling, and aggression.

Boarding:  We provide pet boarding as a service to our clients. All boarders receive personal attention from our caring staff. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday.

Bathing: Therapeutic and medical bathing services are available through AMC, and Susan's Grooming shares our building. You can call our number (307-682-1507) or the number for Susan's (307-686-7716) to make an appointment.

Emergency Care:  A doctor is always on call to see your pet in an emergency. Please call our main telephone number for instructions for after-hour emergencies.
